Welcome to my website. My name is Dario and I am a Cambridgeshire based saxophone player - Tenor, Alto, Soprano Sax and Flute - who loves to improvise on different music genres (Bossa Nova, Swing, Funk, Blues, Easy-Listening, Rockabilly, Disco, Pop, Chill-out, House).
I have been playing live music for over 15 years. I was part of the vibrant L8Funk band in London, I played with Rockodiles (Rockabilly band), Amy Winehouse Italian band, Dave Matthews Project Band and many others. The sax players I get inspiration from are: the great Ray Gelato (the "Godfather of Swing" who is also my mentor - lucky me!), Leroi Moore (Dave Matthews Band), Arnett Cobb, Maceo Parker, Candy Dulfer, Boney James. And of course my fellow tenor sax player in L8 Funk, Butch Evarts and his great solos and jokes.
